Additionally, millions upon millions of iPhones are already eligible to run AR apps, and presumably, every new iPhone and iPad from here on out. Apple can coordinate the hardware and software roadmap and with in fell swoop ensure that every iPhone from now on will be AR compatible. Google can only dream of this kind of power. This is why Apple can bring things to market like 3D Touch, the AirPods W1 Chip, and now AR.
