One of the things that I really like about Apple is their commitment to user data privacy. In a new development, Apple will now be requiring all app developers to submit a privacy policy for review by Apple before their app is accepted into the App Store.
It’s still doubtful that Apple would ever design and build their own TV. Gene Munster, the guy who perennially predicted that they would do it. Has since moved on to predicting something else that will never happen. That Tesla will be a successful company.
But Apple is a little preoccupied these days with self-driving cars and augmented reality. But if they ever did. I’d be willing to pay more for an Apple TV just to keep those creepy prying eyes out of my living room. How long before all televisions have webcams and microphones? It would be worth it to me to pay a little more for an Apple TV just to know that Apple isn’t selling my data and all Apps were required to submit a privacy policy for review.
In a day and age when TV manufacturers are consistently caught with their hand in the user data cookie jar there is one company whom I trust above all others with my privacy. That is Apple.
