But the lack of fast selling Tesla’s is not just in the US. It’s happening in Europe too. For a variety of reasons, Norway is one of the most EV-centric countries in the world. They used to be Tesla’s 2nd or 3rd largest market in the world. Tesla fans used to say that Norway was a glimpse of what Tesla was going to do world-wide. Now they don’t talk about it any more. Why? Because other EV brands have eclipsed Tesla. Check out this list of all the other EVs outselling the Model 3.
It appears that the lack of good service and shoddy build quality are leading customers in North America and Europe to look to other EV makers when finally given a choice. Perhaps the Tesla fans were right. Norway is a glimpse of what is going to happen in the rest of the world. When offered with higher quality cars from established companies with a robust network of dealerships, customers will pass on Tesla.
The only place that Tesla is growing sales is China. And I doubt that is going to last very long once the other electric car makers are up and running. New Chinese EV companies are all set to launch in 2021.
The fact that Tesla is not on the list of fastest selling new cars and yet they are on the list of fastest selling used cars tells me something. It tells me that Tesla’s sales are collapsing and the people who own Tesla’s can’t wait to get rid of them.
