After the latest Autopilot crash killed a woman on the roadside, Tesla fanboys are using reporters to perpetuate Elon's lies. This thread replies to David Goodhue's Miami Herald interview of the Tesla fanboy lying about Autopilot safety.

Lie: "Tesla is safer than the other cars." (The fanboy says this in the video)
Truth: The death rate for
Tesla cars is TRIPLE that of comparable luxury vehicles.

Lie: "When these features are activated, the car will stop for obstructions in the path."
Truth:
#Tesla cars cannot see tractor-trailers and will crash into them. Jeremy Banner's and Joshua Brown's heads went right into a semi's trailer.
Link: Two fatal crashes, one common factor: Tesla's Autopilot

Lie:
#Tesla's own website says their cars will brake for pedestrians.
Truth: Tesla cars *will* run into pedestrians. David, your own story proved that the car can't see pedestrians, and ran into and killed a woman.

Here are more videos - made by other fanboys - showing how #Tesla cars are a menace to pedestrians.
Another video showing how #Tesla will run right into a person in broad daylight.
Yet another showing how #Tesla will run right into a person at night. Video
Here's what #Tesla's sensors actually see: vanishing pedestrians, crashing cars. #Autopilot attempts to make decisions based on this garbage. A human driver is much more advanced than any computer. Can you imagine driving with this visualization?

Here's more of what a
#Tesla sees. Pedestrians that appear, then vanish into thin air. Cars sliding sideways. #Autopilot is on American highways and streets, endangering motorists and pedestrians alike, right now.

@NTSB has already stated that #Autopilot is subject to "PREDICTABLE ABUSE". This abuse happens every day. #Tesla owners text, nap, and even have sex while letting a fatally flawed 4-5 ton car fly down the highway by itself.

Elon Musk himself publicly said: “We already have full self-driving capability on highways. So from highway on-ramp to highway exit ... full self-driving capability is there.” MUCH more capability than your interviewee defends #Tesla with.

Elon Musk: Teslas Should Have "Full Self-Driving" By End Of 2019

Here's a little bonus: That fanboy you interviewed has complained about a major security issue with #Tesla, and tax #fraud on Tesla's #Autopilot sales. He kept mum about this during your interview. Why didn't you ask him about these serious concerns of his?

There are many other issues with #Tesla, from accounting, to tax, to securities, to workers compensation #fraud, and much more. But if you want to just focus on the danger of #Autopilot, I'm happy to discuss via DM. Investigate. Inform and protect the public.
