Musk is famous for gaslighting the public. When Tesla was very close to bankruptcy, he staged an April Fools joke that he was “bankwupt”. As if the very thought of Tesla going broke was laughable. But in fact, all the skeptics were right.
Now he’s saying one of the things he wants to do if he buys Twitter is to cut down on all of the fake Twitter accounts, the “bots”. But that’s in direct contradiction to his aim of boosting members. It also robs him of most of his Twitter following.
